Yeah Yeah Yeah’s - ZERO

Possibly the most remarkable aspect of Yeah Yeah Yeah’s new single “Zero” is how natural it sounds, especially when you consider that this is supposedly the band’s (as one press release put it) “all-new & more experimental sound.” As the song plummets deeper and deeper into a sonic disco, it becomes increasingly difficult to believe that this is the same band that once peeled a layer of skin off of us with the line “Boy you’re just a stupid bitch and girl you’re just a no good dick.”” source

wow. Karen O changed?? … grew up? wow. i like it either way.

*this will be my first automated post, probably will be too busy in the morning =)

im so happy to be waiting for you <3

i dont think i’ll be sleeping, coz you will be here like, in the morning! -i gotta do the dishes and some cleaning anyways =P- i love you so much cupcake.

my dearest zu makes me always happy, hopeful, and i feel love overflawing, everywhere. maybe because of how happy i am for more than a year and a half, this song makes me feel happy and blissful, although it is supposed to be melancholic and is in fact close to my melancholic views of love.

its actually an animative song. love it = )

Concerning Multi-Touch, Tablet Technology, and Apple

I must state from the start that I like Apple. Loving iPod, even using iTunes (looking forward Songbird to be complete enough to switch though) and envying my Significant One’s Macbook Pro, I’m not that much of a Microsoft fan.
I just wonder, “Is it OK to feel hopeful about Windows 7, and Microsoft in general?”

Last time we saw Mr. PC, he was being bullied around, and made fun of. We know that Microsoft is not too far from that character, MS is rich, will get richer, and there’s nothing you can do about it. You have to buy it, your opinions dont even matter. But maybe things are going to change, and this Apple’s negative campaign may have stimulated Microsoft to “behave itself”.

Bill Gates is not a bad guy afterall, most of us loved his Mosquito Stunt. And there is this new Windows Live Essentials line, I personally love Live Mail, cute and simple. Who actually doesnt like Live Writer? Many wish it was compatible with Tumblr. Photo Gallery has issues, but its still beta, and still worthy to use. I believe that Microsoft is changing its ignorant stance, and starting to listen to people. They even developed their first Firefox add-on!

Back to Apple. Are they really cutting-edge and visionary?

“For instance, Apple’s 17-inch Macbook Pro laptop is a design marvel, and the extended battery life is an intriguing selling point. But where is the Blu-ray? Where is the built-in 3G networking, or the combination eSATA / USB port? For Jobs sake, where is the SD card reader? These are standard fare at the high end of every other manufacturer’s line, so why not Apple? We’d like Apple designers to break out and…” here.

Lets make an analyse here. skipping numbers =P

*Well, the market growth of Touch-screen phones may be growing, but there’s too little competition, so iPhone is easily categorized as a cash-cow.

We see that while Apple can make lots of money, with relatively less effort, Microsoft should make lots of investments to keep its place and stay as a market-leader. We can already see that: While Apple most possibly has the resources and know-how to produce a high-end Multi-Touch Displayed Mac, there are no promises of such product. They are not willing to take risks. How visionary is that? Yes, They may be -I believe they are- working on one, but we know that big Apple hits are annonced every year at Macworldexpo, which has passed by this year. And even if its announced at WWDC, which is unlikely, we shouldnt be expecting a Mac Tablet till Late 2010.

So Apple invented* Multi-Touch, its cool with iPhone and such, but it seems to me that Microsoft will be the one that benefits it. Apple’s multi-touch is superb, but there is not a single Apple computer display you can actually “touch.” But right after that technology was avaible to public, Microsoft announced Windows 7 and its Multi-Touch plans, And companies started manufacturing Multi-Touch PC’s right after. Windows 7 will likely be here late 2009 or early 2010, and with a proper slate tablet running Windows 7, assuming that it will fulfill my expectations, I dont think I will be waiting for an Apple tablet. If Apple wants to make profit with the Multi-Touch technology, they shouldn’t wait much after this time.

*Check Microsoft Surface too (yes its real and  expensive)

Some disagree with these:  ”This (Releasing of an Apple Tablet) would be a mistake, of course. The tablet market isn’t ready to explode just yet, and the touch screen technology isn’t quite ready to handle the variety of tasks that buyers will demand from a tablet.” the same article.

Microsoft has a good opportunity here. If they use this right, it will benefit the Users most.

So the Tablet PC im hoping to use in 2010 :D

A Multi-Touch Fujitsu Stylistic ST70** :P or a Slate HP or ASUS (i would love to see VAIO get brave enough to produce a Slate tablet) with a Future version of Evernote for note taking with pen,  which i used to make the BCG Analyse above (with a bamboo tablet) , possibly the best a handwriting software can get. I want a future windows version, because the mac version makes me jealous :P and Swype for typing using fingers, whichis not a far assumption, as they are working with Windows Mobile.

happy waiting everyone!

Waltz with Bashir, Memory and Conscience

“One of the first animated documentaries, this film tells the story of a Israeli man who is recapturing his memories of the Lebanon war in 1982. The dreamlike essence of his and his interviewees trips down memory lane are perfectly portrayed by the use of animation because the genre’s fluidity. The color and style of the animation changes with the mood and “strength” of the memory. The realness of the story, the massacre, the group amnesia, the middle-aged men dealing with their memories, all of these aspects are hard to portray without turning the audience away. The use of animation brought down the intensity without “dumbing” down the content.  Also, the ability to draw historical events without using reenactments made it seem realer…” source

Waltz with Bashir is a distressing, intimate movie. We always want to believe that the nature of humans are good. Maybe I’m weird, but i find this movie to be hopeful. In any case, every human action should be conversed about. What are we more than frightened children in grown up bodies?

**deleted two paragraphes of useless political comments.. i dont want to sound like im taking sides, afterall.

Maritime - Sleep Around

sometimes i get the urge, the vision of an absolutely chilling, sad, at least indifferent mood, and want and try to draw. i am no good at merry-go-round pictures, the thing is, i can live them, im a merry-go-round person most of the time. so theres no need to, and it seems perfectly useless, to spend hours sitting somewhere, working on a drawing of utter happiness and cuteness. if i am happy, i just go on and live my happiness. i can’t waste it sitting, drawing.

the thing is, when i get this gore images of my darker moods, i say “wow, i should draw that” but somewhere in this process of “productivity” (i might as well call it excretion) i see, notice, how undeniable the fact is, that im very happy, and lucky. the whole attemp goes futile, and the next time im moody, it usually is another thing that bugs me, a whole another picture.

as a conclusion, happiness rocks. i can live without drawing anything but hearts, emotes with tongues sticking out, and such.
